What Friendly charges

Friendly is $49.99 a month per location plus 15¢ per order. Card processing is Stripe’s published rate. Friendly never marks it up. Stripe sets its rates and can change them, and your Stripe agreement controls.

Passing card fees to guests

If you choose to add a credit card fee, Friendly only allows it where your state permits one, and turns it off where it doesn’t. Rules can change, so we check them again whenever you turn the fee on.

Credit cards only

The fee can apply to credit cards only. Debit and prepaid cards are never charged a fee, even when they’re run as credit. Friendly tells them apart for you.

Never more than it costs you

The fee can’t be more than what you pay to accept that card, and never more than 3%, or a lower limit if your state sets one.

Tell guests first

Post a notice at your door and register, and show the fee before the guest pays. Friendly prints the fee as its own line on every receipt. We supply the signs.

Cash discount instead

You can offer a lower price for cash instead. Friendly shows both prices clearly so nothing comes as a surprise.
